Our Community Work
Our Role in the Community
At Rustington Methodist Church, we believe that serving our community is an essential part of our faith and mission. We are committed to making a positive difference through acts of kindness, charity, and outreach, both locally and beyond.
We believe that small acts of kindness can make a big difference, and we welcome anyone who would like to get involved in our community efforts. Whether through donations, volunteering, or simply spreading the word, together we can continue to make a positive impact.

Working Together in Faith
As a member of Rustington & East Preston Churches Together, we collaborate with other local churches to strengthen our shared mission. Through joint services, prayer events, and outreach initiatives, we work together to support and serve the wider community.
Supporting Those in Need
We regularly collect donations for The Littlehampton & District Foodbank, helping to provide essential supplies to individuals and families facing hardship in our local area.
Charity & Outreach
We actively support:
Christian Aid – Tackling poverty and injustice worldwide
Action for Children – Helping vulnerable children, young people, and families
All We Can – The Methodist relief and development agency, working with communities to create lasting change
Each year, we also take part in the Link to Hope Shoebox Appeal, sending Christmas gift boxes to families and elderly people in Eastern Europe. Members of the Church collect items to pack in the shoeboxes and we gather together on a Saturday morning in November to pack and wrap as many boxes as we can.
Each year, we also select a charity of the year to support through fundraising and awareness. For 2025, we are proud to be supporting St Barnabas Hospice in Worthing, which provides compassionate care to those with life-limiting illnesses.
“And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.”
Hebrews 13:16
