Junior Church at Rustington Methodist Church
When does Junior Church meet?
Junior Church meets during school term times as part of the 10:45 am Sunday service, welcoming all children aged 3 to 18. Younger children are also welcome to join the crèche.
Where does Junior Church meet?
We begin the service together in the main church, usually sitting at the front, but children are welcome to stay with their families if they prefer. After the first 10-15 minutes, children can either remain in the service or join us for age-appropriate activities in the Church Hall.

What happens in Junior Church?
Our sessions are designed to be fun, engaging, and faith-filled, incorporating arts & crafts, discussions, singing, and interactive storytelling to help children explore Christian values in a meaningful way.
In the lead up to Christmas we prepare a Nativity service to share with the Church family and in the Summer we lead an Anniversary Service usually followed by a family picnic in the Church garden.
Parents and carers are welcome to join their children in the hall or remain in the service and collect them afterward from the hall. After the service, we invite everyone to gather in the coffee lounge for refreshments and fellowship.
Children are welcome to arrive from 10:30 am in the big church hall (to the right of the main church) for some pre-church activities or they are welcome to start in the main service and join us when we leave for our own activities.
Who leads the activities?
We have a small team of volunteers who work on a rota basis. All our leaders and helpers have been subject to DBS checks and we operate a rigorous Safeguarding policy at the Church.
We look forward to welcoming your family! If you have any questions please contact the Church Office who will be more than happy to answer your questions or point you in the right direction.
Some Examples of our Activities

The Rustington Methodist Junior Church Team
“People were bringing little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.'”
Mark 10:13-16
