Church Groups and Activities
There are a number of groups and activities that happen within the church during the week. For more details of any of the groups or activities listed here please contact the Church Office.
Topical Bible Group
Day: Monday (Fortnightly)
Time: 10:00 – 11:00 am
Where:
A friendly and informal group who meet to explore the relevance of God’s Word in our lives in today’s World. The subjects are varied and chosen by each one of the group. Followed by refreshments.
Mod Mums
Day: Every Wednesday (during term time)
Time: 9:50 – 11:30 am
Where: Coffee Lounge
For parents, grandparents or carers of 0-4s to relax, make friends and enjoy hot coffee, biscuits, chat and activity, whilst your child is looked after in one of the creches on the same premises by our team of DBS checked volunteers. Many of them are ex-MMers, or grandparents of our children- some of our volunteers are OGs from Mod Mums circa 1958!
Membership is £2.50 per adult, per term.
Weekly Fees: Members: £2 per family and Non members: £2.50 per family. Your first week is free.
Coffee and Games Morning
Day: Every Thursday
Time: 10:30 am – 12:30 pm
Where: Coffee Lounge
Join us for a relaxed and friendly coffee and games morning. Open to all ages, this is a great opportunity to enjoy a warm drink, a biscuit and good company. Whether you fancy a chat, a game of scrabble, or a round of dominoes, there’s something for everyone. Come along, have fun, and make new friends – we’d love to see you there.
Stepping Stones – Ladies Club
Day: 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month
Time: 2:15 pm (arrive from 2:00 pm)
Where: Church Hall
An afternoon group for ladies of any age who like hearing about a variety of interesting subjects, with speakers and occasional “do it yourself” sessions.
Members pay £2 an afternoon, or you can be a visitor twice for only £3.
Stitchers Group
Day: 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month
Time: 1:30 pm
Where: Coffee Lounge
A group for those interested in needlecrafts in any form. This group supports each other in needlecraft projects, teasing out ideas and problems and showing off what they have achieved. Along with cups of tea there is lots of chat and laughter.
Come and Sing
Day: 1st Friday of each month
Time: 2:30 – 3:30 pm
Where: Coffee Lounge
Love to sing? Join us for Come and Sing, a welcoming hour of hymns and worship songs. Whether you enjoy traditional hymns or uplifting worship music, this is a chance to sing together in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. No experience needed – just a love of music and fellowship.
