Come and join the fun in RMC Junior Church!
Children and Youth
We meet on Sunday mornings during term time, from 10.30am in the hall, and join the congregation for the first part of our worship before we head out to our own activities. During the morning we have a circle time when we might share news and prayers, sing or play a game. We then divide into two groups with different activities inspired by a Bible passage or theme. We use a resource called Roots for ideas and inspiration, which is lectionary based, and find this works well.
We currently have 10-12 children and young people who join us regularly, aged 4 - 17, and there is a crèche available for babies and children under 3.
Some Sundays we remain in church with the congregation for an All Age Worship service and currently we do not meet as a group on Sundays during school holidays, but children and young people are welcome in church on these weeks and there are activities to do in the coffee lounge with your parents if you fancy dipping out of the service for a while.
During the year we get up to all sorts! We usually write and perform our very own Nativity in December, have the occasional party and sometimes a bake sale for Junior Mission for All. We have also attended the Big Church Day Out for the past few years and hope to again this May.
Recently, junior church made an animation to tell the story of Daniel and the Lion's Den.
